Rock Band picks up Metallica, entire album DLC

I'm happy that Metallica is in the game but there are much better songs for Rock Band then Enter Sandman. That song is over played.

right now GH2 on the 360 is utter crap. every couple months they release a pack of 3 songs out of the original GH for 10 bucks. lazy milking if you ask me.

How did they approach metallica? Yeah we'd like to lisence everything before you guys became crap. Whats that no we really dont want the black album either...well ok if we have to.

Well, if it follows the GHII DLC pricing, nobody will be able to afford these awesome albums.

You know that one guy you play GH2 with that won't stop singing along no matter how many times you tell him he sucks and needs to shut up. Well get used to his voice, he will never stop now. Hehehe...

I wonder if this means GH3 will be able to snag a Metallica song as well... They have been saying they want to bring a Metallica song to GH, along with Led Zepplin and AC/DC. Maybe Harmonix has just opened the door to make Guitar Hero 3 better too :)

I'm sold. I knew this would happen. Rock Band has MTV on board, who has alot more pull in the music industry than Activision. I've also heard that they are in talks with AC/DC to be on the cover of the game.

enter sandman is a good song, not their best, but it will be nice to finally get to play metallica. what most of you fail to realize is most metallica songs would be to hard. they would have to be bonus tracks. I love metallica as much as the next guy and would love to get a crack at battery, dyer's eve, etc... but those songs are not that easy. sure most of the song wouldnt be too bad on guitar but its the solos that will get you (anyone tried jordan on expert?)and then you have to have someone playing drums for those songs, which for the most part will be extremely difficult.

I've also noticed that a lot of you seem to assume that it will be the Black album and onlythe Black album. just because the first song on the game for metallica is from it doesnt mean that's going to be the only album. think about it, for the rock fans, (not necesarily metallica fans) most of which have at least heard the mainstream enter sandman you get a song you've heard and can at least bear to play, ie.. rock this town, and for the hardcore metallica fans who truly wish to test their ability to rock there could be other albums such as justice.

OH yeah BTW in GH3 it has been confirmed that the song entitled " ONE " by Metallica will be featured in Guitar hero 3 as well as Slayer's "Rainging Blood"
