Animation is wonderful on this and the character models are great. I don't know why I had to be repeatedly reminded this was in-game (particularly given some of the pretty poor environment textures), but it still looks great.

I don't think you've never played an MGS game. There is no difference.
And my god is it beautiful. If I don't get an MGS4 on 360 confirmation tonight, I'm definitely buying the PS3 next payday. No way I'm waiting for a port or another price drop.

Wow, did you notice the graphics in the Halo 3 beta weren't that hot... Do you know why? Because its not the final product and guess what neither is what we've seen of either KZ2 or MGS4. Both your comments stink of fanboy. Do yourself a favour step out side get some air and grow the hell up.

I guess you guys missed the part where they said they'll show a demo of the gameplay on the 17th of July. Looks good and we'll see how the game plays next week. It must really suck to see that all the news is about Sony exclusives or multiplatform titles. Have they run out of interesting stuff to talk about with Halo?

Dang, that was a stupid trailer. I'm all for realistic video games, but this was just so far out it was campy. Breakdancing on a sword in the middle of the fight? Being able to support a person standing (and stabbing) your chest? Jumping nine feet in the air after standing still?
And you'd think that if they can see Liquid Snake on the roof, SOMEONE WOULD'VE REMEMBERED TO BRING HIS SNIPER RIFLE. Fail, epic (Trailer and Old Snake).

No, I was pretty bored too. It's like Kojima is just being random for the sake of being random. It just makes no sense.

Wow I do hope they make an animated Movie out of MGS like they did Final Fantasy. This clip does hype the game it really does make you want to play it. Maybe it is just me maybe I am a sucker for a good trailer. Sadly I don't have a PS3 so I would have to wait till when it is eventually ported to the 360. Still that is a Next generation game that I actually might like playing.

hmmm mixed reactions...1st...looks great but i still wish this would come to the 360...and so far it kinda looks like they are straying away from the normal metal gear gameplay...but hopefully they wont change much...and didnt liquid die in metal gear solid?? i know ocelot had his arm attached to him or something like that...but i thought liquid was dead can anybody shed light on this for me??
oh and @ ivan why did u have to try and turn this into the wii sucks?? and btw...i guess u havent played twilight princess...cuz it def has a pretty good story line...but i guess u wouldnt know that cuz ur to busy assuring urself the ps3 is the only good system out there....: /

I am really impressed with PS3's showing. I am a huge 360 fanboy but is this the shift of graphical power that all the Sony fanboys said we would witness. Is it really coming to fruition? Does the 360 have something capable of rivaling the killzone demo? They better show me something quick or I am going to have to save up for a 360.

Wow that final move was right out of the last Samurai Champloo episode. In fact that whole Vamp vs Raiden fight reminded me a lot of Samurai Champloo's fight scenes.

Was Gametrailers copy of the trailer bad, or was at least the entire vamp fight completely colorless? If your game is colorless, it's probably not too difficult to make it have beautiful graphics and animation. Just saying...

Well, I've never played the MGS series (I watched a friend play for a few hours, that was enough for me), so I realize I'm a bit out of the loop, but what the heck was that? Campy dialog, colorless graphics and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon-esque magic fighting styles where everyone are robocops, feel no pain and can take a sword through the chest like it's a scratch. Now I know why I never cared about this series. If I want a stealth game (which I admit are not my forte) I'll look to Splinter Cell, where at least they are somewhat in touch with reality. I'm sorry, but this video did not impress me whatsoever, not even the graphics. Gears looked this good (or dang close) and didn't have characters with questionable sexual orientation. Eh, oh well, one AAA title I won't lose sleep over...

Folks ... the gameplay will be similar to what MGS3 *whatever title it has that wasn't snake eater* was, and of course it'll be a bit like snake eater, and ect. Just alot more refined with new features. Maybe you'll be able to play a raiden and junk but... this "super" raiden isn't cool. He certainly isn't an cooler then old raiden(not like I hated him though). Seriously... anyone can be badass with an enhancement suit. Since everyone can be badass with a suit, no one is badass if they need the suit to make them badass. In Other words raiden is still nothing, and now he's relying on a suit... good for him.

I'm glad Hideo has said this will be the last game in the series. I personally hated every Metal Gear after Metal Gear Solid on the PlayStation (Perhaps with the exception of Portable Ops, that was ok). They were all totally ridiculous.

They're talking about the profitability of war and in this scenario,turning war into corporate business ( heavy use of private military companies.. something we're already doing with Iraq to a certain extent) gets out of hand. Insert the fantastic characters of the MGS universe( ninja cyborgs, genetically engineered supersoldiers like snake and liquid et al). The scenario sounds like an oxymoron until you look back into history a little bit.
